At last! Videos of this year’s ALA Book Cart Drill Team Championships are online! This was one of the not-to-be-missed events of ALA…lucky me, I snagged a seat in the 2nd row and what a ride it was!
In first place were the “Well Stacked Sci-brarians” from the Santa Monica Public Library.

In a close second was none other than our fellow Austinites from the Austin Public Library, wearing some awesome book-hats.

Finally…did you know that the video for “Head over Heels” by Tears for Fears takes place in a library?

I loved the moonwalk with the book carts. I’ve gotta try that when next I come across one. Maybe only the DEMCO ones can move so smoothly across the (dance) floor.
